Bruce L. Christensen
Founder, BLC Consulting
Bruce Christensen, based in Texas, is the Founder of BLC Consulting LLC, established in June of 2018. He consults in the home improvement financing industry for lenders, manufacturers, and contractors, providing insights and assisting with market trends, economic indicators, positioning, pricing, sales, competition and both the contractor and the consumer experiences.
He served on the Research Planning Committee for the Joint Center for Housing Studies’ Remodeling Futures Program at Harvard University. He served as a board member of the National Association of Professionally Accredited Contractors (NAPAC) and served as a member of the Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI).
He has received the President’s Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for his commitment and service to the Home Improvement industry and has also received the Outstanding Associate Service Award from the National Association of Home Builders Remodelers (NAHBR). While with NARI, he chaired the finance committee for two terms.
These industry roles were in addition to leading Synchrony Financials’ Home Improvement Products from 2002 to 2016, a business that provides consumer financing through contractors, dealers, and retailers.
Bruce oversees marketing, sales, and general business services activities of the consultancy. He recognizes the challenges, nuances, and growth opportunities that are constantly arising in the industry and utilizes this knowledge to help home improvement companies, their affiliates, and servicers.
He is currently consulting with Contractors and Manufacturers to ensure they secure the financing programs that best fit their needs to maximize growth, and for Lenders, providing experience and expertise for both well-established organizations and start- ups.
Bruce has more than 35 years of financial services experience and has specialized in the home improvement industry for over 30 years, including revolving, unsecured installment and secured installment lending in both a direct and indirect lending environment.
